ONARA Safe, free while in beta

Your safety system, in the same app as your jobs.

The SWMS, the site sign-in, the toolbox talk, the incident report and the subbies' paperwork, each on the job it belongs to. Nothing typed twice, every login included.

Start freeStart with Safe on its own, $49 a month

Most trade businesses run safety in a second app, or a folder in the ute. The site, the crew and the subbie get typed into the job software, then typed again into the safety one, and the crew have a second login they never open. ONARA Safe puts the paperwork on the job that already has the address, the crew and the photos.

It is free for every ONARA business while it is in beta. On its own, for a business that runs its jobs elsewhere, it is $49 a month, flat, first month free.

Forty seconds of the real thing: the Safe page, a site pack with its QR board, a SWMS from the task library, and the incident form on a phone. No sound.

One page for all of it: who is on which site right now, every SWMS, the talks held, the incident register with open ones first, the subbies and their paperwork. Each line is a tap to the job it sits on. A real screen, tap to enlarge.

The site pack. Site rules, hazards and what to do in an emergency, written once and carried to the next job. Print the board for the entrance; the crew, subbies and visitors scan the QR, read the rules and sign in on their phone. The register keeps who was on site, which day, in and out.

A SWMS from the task library. Tick the high risk construction work, pick the steps for your kind of work from a library written from the regulators’ codes of practice, with the source named on each step. The library is a starting point, not a sign-off: the SWMS still has to describe your site and the way you work.

An incident report that is mostly taps: where, how it happened, who was hurt, the injury, the treatment. Under it sits your state’s WHS regulator with its incident line, tap to call, and the notifiable incident prompt in the Act’s own words. The record is kept the five years the law asks for.

On the phone, on the day. The crew report it from the job; the office sees it on the register.

The subbie register. Each subbie with their public liability, workers comp, licences, tickets and inductions, the expiry date on each and whether you hold a copy. The Overview nudges you a month before anything lapses, beside the work orders you send them.

What is in it

  • A SWMS built from a task library for ten kinds of work: heights, electrical, excavation, confined spaces, gas, asbestos, demolition, hot works, plant and more, with the source named on each step.
  • A site pack on every job: rules, hazards and emergency details, a printable board with a QR code, sign-in by phone, a 30-day register of who was on site.
  • Toolbox talks held from the job, with the people on it ticked already and a line in the job's diary.
  • Incident reports that are mostly taps, with your state regulator's incident line on the form and on the report, and the notifiable incident prompt in the Act's own words.
  • A subbie register with licences, insurances and tickets, each with an expiry date, and a nudge before one lapses.
  • Condition reports with your own phrases offered as you type and photos tagged in bulk, numbered, branded, with a link for the client.

Why it is in the same app

Safety tools charge per head and live apart from the work. Every login is included here, so the crew who need the SWMS and the sign-in are the crew who have it, and the eleventh tradie you hire costs nothing more.

  • The site, the crew and the subbie are typed once, on the job. The SWMS, the site pack and the talk start from them.
  • The incident photos are already on the job; the report sits under it.
  • One subbie record carries their paperwork, the work orders you send them and the TPAR at year end.
  • Flat per business, every login included, no lock-in. Not per seat, not a 12-month term.

How it works

1

Switch it on

Already with ONARA? Settings, ONARA Safe, one tick. It is free while in beta, and the Safe page appears in your menu and on every job.

2

Or tick it when you sign up

New to ONARA? Tick Safe beside Ops on the sign-up page. Or take Safe on its own at onaraops.com.au/get-started/safe: $49 a month, first month free, and the rest of ONARA is one tap away later.

3

Put the first pack on a job

Open a job, set up the site pack, print the board. The crew scan it on the morning they arrive, and the register starts itself.

Questions, answered

What does it cost?

Free for every ONARA business while it is in beta. On its own, for a business that runs its jobs in other software, $49 a month, flat, every login included, first month free, no lock-in.

What happens to the records after the beta?

Nothing is ever deleted. Incident reports, SWMS, sign-in registers and talks stay readable and printable whatever you decide, and you hear from us in writing before anything about the beta changes.

Is the SWMS library a sign-off?

No. It is a starting point written from the regulators' codes of practice, with the source named on each step. Your SWMS still has to describe your site and your way of working, and you are the one who issues it.

Which regulator does it show?

Your own. The state is read from your business address, and the incident form and report carry that regulator's incident line and hours in their own words. WA, NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory are all in.

Who in the crew sees what?

Owners and managers get the Safe page. The crew reach the site pack, the toolbox talk, the SWMS and Report an incident from each job on their phone, and see the incidents they reported themselves.

Free while in beta

Switch it on under Settings, or tick it when you sign up. Your first month of ONARA is free either way.
